Concrete octahedron lamp

I always wanted to make sculptures with concrete, I find beauty in its raw look while being easy to manipulate into any shape. Although it cost me some tryouts, specially due to the really thin walls (around 7mm with a full weight of 3kgs), now I can hold it from the mentioned thin sides and it wont break. This is probably what I like the most about this material, how its properties change through out time. Now it is strong but time will make the grey turn into different shades.

However I am always looking into the function of things, this is why I wanted to make a "useful" sculpture, which could bring something more than a shape. Using the shape of the regular mathematical polyhedron, this lamp can light in three positions: up, side and down.
The mold, ready for the mix to fill it in
The wiring and lamp preadjustments
Finally I can use it for giving general light, and 2 positions for reading: seated and laid.
